Gamlehorten Gjestegård offers lodging, café, culture arrangements, seminars, and facilities for weddings or other festivities.

Situated within walking distance from Horten City Center, and beach around the corner, Gamlehorten Gjestegård is ideal for a nice summer stay. With nice nature surroundings, coast paths, as well as attractions like Preus Museum, Horten Navy Museum, and several Galleries just around the corner, it is easy to combine a stay at Gamlehorten Gjestegård with cultural or physical experiences.

Prices:

NOK 390,- pr. night pr. person in double rooms.

NOK 580,- pr. night pr. person in single rooms.

Prices are exclusive any meals. For groups larger than 10, we can offer breakfest, lunch and dinner.

NB! The rooms are all parts of apartments, which mostly consists of two bedrooms, sharing one bathroom/toalet.

The apartments are of different standards, some of which have living room (with TV) and kitchen, while others consists of only sleeping rooms and bathroom.

Free wireless internet in all rooms.

 

History:

Gamlehorten Gjestegård is located in Horten, about 1 hour drive south of Oslo. See map here.  These historical and beautiful buildings dates back to 1780. It has served as farm, ferry station and guest house, before The Royal Norwegian Navy aquired Horten Gård 29th of September 1819. From then and until a decade ago, it was it was a place of lodging for Marine officers and their families. After a few years where the buildings were left abandoned, it is from 2009 an attractive venue for festivities, concerts and lodging.
